|
The Federal Highway
Administration has approved the Plumsted Township Committee’s grant application
under the Federal Recreational Trails Program for an award of $25,000. The
funding for this project will be used to develop a park with a pathway and
canoe/kayak access to Crosswicks Creek. As part of the funding for this
project, signs will be installed to inform boaters that there is water trail
access at the park.
The Township is also pursuing grants for a possible
“rails to trails” project for biking and hiking on the abandoned Union
Transportation Railroad Line that is now owned by Jersey Central Power and
Light Company (JCP&L). The Township is presently in discussions with
JCP&L.
The Plumsted Arts Council is
hosting and presenting to the public a Comedy Night on Saturday, October 4,
beginning at 8 pm, in the Welcome
Center, 31 Main Street, New
Egypt. Tickets for this Arts Council fundraiser are $10 and may be purchased at
the door. Refreshments are available. Opening Comedians are: Simply D, Brendan
Kennedy and Bob McCormic, who set the mood and stage for Comedian headliner,
Mike Weiss.

mowing, trimming, etc.) of certain public grounds, including the recreation
fields and parks. The bid specification package is available at the Township

Township. All bids must be submitted to the Township Clerk no later than XXX on Wednesday, October 22nd,
