|
|
|
|
The Township Committee
authorized, at its October 1st public meeting, to apply for a State
Green Acres Park Development Grant in the amount of $100,000 to pay for the
installation of the Park’s first irrigation well and water lines. Presently,
none of the nine (9) ball fields at the 30 acre Recreation Park,
located off Brindletown and Brynmore Roads in New Egypt, are irrigated.
Additionally, the grant application also requests funding for the installation
of new fencing around the Pop Warner fields, three T-Ball fields and the Babe
Ruth field, as well as, funding for new paving in the parking and concession
stand areas. The Committee is hopeful to have the funding and begin the
improvements early next Spring.
The Police Department is enforcing Plumsted Township’s juvenile curfew ordinance
that prohibits anyone under 18 years of age to be on public streets or in
public parks or places between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless

Police Officers are also enforcing the hours of operation for public parks.
Township Parks are open to the public every day of the year from one (1) hour
before sunrise to one (1) hour after sunset, with the exception of scheduled
ball games under the lights. Otherwise, individuals and vehicles are not
permitted in the parks at a time other than the designated hours.

authorized the advertisement and receipt of bids for the maintenance (grass
mowing, trimming, etc.) of certain public grounds, including the recreation
fields and parks. The bid specification package is available at the Township
Clerk’s office, 121 Evergreen Road,
