Municipal Government The Township of Plumsted, is
geographically 40 square miles with a population of 7,320 (est.) and functions
under the Township Committee form of government, which consist of five elected
members with a term of office of three years each.
The Township
Committee, at its annual re-organization meeting during the first week of
January, selects from among its five members, a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and
appoints from its members a liaison for each Township's Administrative
Departments.
The current Committee members would be pleased to welcome
you to each Township Committee meeting held on the second and fourth Monday of
each month. At that time they conduct Township business and look forward to
meeting you and listen to your concerns. Whether its a minor concern or a new
idea they are always interested in your opinions and suggestions so please
contact them.
