The Plumsted Police Department presently consists of 10 full-time sworn officers, a class II special officer and a civilian director. The agency serves a population of over 7,000 residents who reside in a township over 40 square miles in size.

Mayor Ron Dancer, Deputy Mayor Joe Przywara, Township Committee members Ken Francis, Bonnie Quesnel and Ada Roberts authorized and provided the funding for our first full-time 24/7 Police Department in August, 2001. We are a community service agency dedicated to the safety and security of the residents and visitors of Plumsted Township.
The Police Department is located on the corner of Cedar Street and Magnolia Ave. In 1993 money was provided to renovate the building for use as a Police Department. The Police Department shares the building with the Plumsted Township Office of Emergency Management.

The Plumsted Police Department building is opened during the following hours:
  Monday 9:00 AM- 5:00PM
  Tuesday 9:00 AM-5:00PM
  Wednesday 10:00AM- 7:00PM
  Thursday 9:00 AM- 5:00PM
  Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Closed Weekends and Holidays
The Department is staffed by a full time secretary that is available during these hours to assist citizens in obtaining information, records, reports and scheduling fingerprinting, firearms applications and providing other services.
