CONTACT of Ocean County provides the
Reassurance Telephone Line.
What is it?
A Reassurance
Telephone Line is a service of CONTACT of Ocean County which seeks to meet the
special needs of people who are elderly or handicapped by providing a regular
telephone call, each day, at a pre-arranged time. |
This Phone call:
- Lets clients know that somebody cares
- Provides a few minutes of friendly
conversation
- Allows us to make sure the client is in
reasonably good health
- Provides a way to send emergency follow-up
care as needed.

Who Makes the call?
Reassurance CONTACT volunteers are workers that remain anonymous and
make the calls from their homes. Usually a volunteer caller has only a single
to call each day.
