A MESSAGE FROM THE TAX COLLECTOR & TAX ASSESSOR

Township of Plumsted Reassessment
The Township of Plumsted is
undertaking a reassessment of ALL township properties for the 2013 tax
year. The purpose of this
project is to update ALL assessments to more accurately reflect current
market value in order ensure that each taxpayer pays their fair share of
the tax burden.
The new assessments will be reflected on the Chapter 123 postcard
notification mailed to each property owner by the Tax Assessor on or
before February 1, 2013.
This will be the only notification of your new assessment.
When reviewing the postcard, please note that the tax amount
stated reflects the 2012 assessment and rate and will not be based on
your new assessment.
2013 tax rates will be calculated based on the budgets of the various
entities and cannot be determined until the budget process is complete.
