Press Release February 7,
2008
At Last night’s
Plumsted Township Committee meeting it wasn’t business as usual it was “Caps
for sale .25 cents” as special guest Claire Brown 8 years old and brother Caleb
Brown 8 year old read from the book of the same title. Wearing colorful Doctor
Seuss Cat in the Hat hats they helped Proclaim “READ ACROSS AMERICA “ a wonderful
program conducted statewide by NJ Education Association along with the NJ State
League of Municipalities and NJ Library Association and Saturn -UAW to promote
reading and adult involvement in education of Plumsted
Township’s students. In
keeping with the tradition Committee member Steve Reed wore the Dr. Seuss hat
while he read the Plumsted Township Proclamation. It was a true delight to
see and hear the small voices that were in great tone and dramatically
emphasizing the story.
Also at last
nights meeting were three recipients of Township appointments
