Once we have received a complete packet from you or the contractor here in the Construction Office, we will review the paperwork and contact you when your permit is ready to be issued and paid for.

If this is your primary residence you may do the plumbing work yourself. All other properties must have a certified plumber do the work.

Pump Out of the Septic Tank MUST be done by a Certified Contractor. Once the tank is pumped out, please forward a copy of the “Pump Out” Receipt to our office. Once we receive your receipt we then will set up an inspection day and time for our inspectors to come out to your property for a final inspection and close out the permit.

The abandoned septic tank must be filled in with clean fill or crushed in place. Your leach fields can stay in place.

We will be taking applications beginning November 1, 2021.

If you have any questions you may contact the Construction Department at 609-758-2241 X105 or X109; and the MUA at X132.
