EPA NOTICE REGARDING SUPERFUND SITES

The U.S. EPA is conducting its Fifth Five-Year Review of the Goose Farm Superfund Site located in Plumsted Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. This review seeks to confirm that the cleanup conducted at the site, which included:
- Extraction and treatment of contaminated groundwater
- Re-injection of treated water into the aquifer
- Flushing the soil using the treated water
A summary of these activities and evaluation of the long-term protectiveness of the remedy will be included in the upcoming Five-Year Review report.
It is anticipated the report will be completed in mid-June 2018.
