Holiday Message from the Mayor

It's been over four months since our state, the nation and our world have been combatting COVID-19. Those challenges in so many ways have affected us all. Some of our residents have unfortunately died from this disease while others not fatally affected, have continued to suffer physical and mental issues as a result. Businesses in our area have been financially burdened and some may not survive much longer.

Plumsted Township has been blessed with residents who have taken on the challenges and moved forward to make our community stronger. As of this message, the reported COVID-19 cases have remained stable over a month and our death toll, although one too many, remains at less than 5.

Please continue to follow CDC and Ocean County Board of Health recommendations in order to combat this very dangerous disease.

Enjoy the holiday weekend and summer. Most of you will be celebrating this weekend with family and friends. Please follow the aforementioned recommendations to keep everyone safe and disease free.

Finally, again I want to thank all of those professionals involved in keeping our community safe. We are blessed to have all of you here in our community.

Remember the meaning of Independence Day and those currently and in the past who have made our independence possible in this great nation.

God Bless our community and you, the residents.
Be Well and Stay Safe,

Herb Marinari, Mayor
