Memorial Day Parade TODAY!
Plumsted Township’s Memorial Day Parade will take place on TODAY at 1:00 pm. The parade will start at Bright Road and proceed along North Main Street, Main Street and Jacobstown Road to Meadowbrook Lane. At the finish of the parade, American Legion Post 455 will hold their Memorial Day Ceremony at 2 Meadowbrook Lane. Refreshments will be served once the service concludes.
Downtown food and beverage merchants along the parade route that will be open and ready to serve you include:
- Anthony’s Italian Restaurant – lunch, cold drinks
- CVS – cold drinks, snacks
- El Aguila Deli – lunch, cold drinks, snacks
- New Egypt Marketplace – deli sandwiches, cold drinks, snacks
- PoPo No. 5 Chinese Restaurant – lunch, cold drinks
- Scott’s Country Market – breakfast, lunch, hot and cold drinks, snacks
- Super Mich – cold drinks, snacks
- Tootie’s – breakfast, lunch, ice cream
- Wawa – breakfast, lunch, hot and cold drinks, snacks
Parking
North Main Street, Main Street, and Jacobstown Road to Meadowbrook Lane will be our parade route with no parking allowed. However, other street parking is available where permitted, as well as parking lots at the following locations:
- North Main Street – Elementary school parking lot
- Main Street - Two municipal parking lots
- Evergreen Road – Two municipal parking lots, middle and high school parking lots
- Brindletown Road – Recreation field parking lot
- Pine Street – Recreation field parking lot
- Brynmore Road – Recreation field parking lots
