On August 7, 2019, the Township Committee adopted a proclamation naming the horse as the township animal.  Student Lucia Sloan made the suggestion to Mayor Trotta and then submitted a report with her recommendation and reasons for officially naming a township animal.  The Township Committee agreed and officially named the horse as the animal of Plumsted. Photo is seen here.

The proclamation may be viewed by clicking here:  Proclamation Horse is the Township Animal.

The Township Committee also recognized Susan Cook and Patrick Riordan for their charitable actions at the August 7th meeting. Recently, Cook and Riordan purchased all of the remaining shoes at the Payless Shoe Store in Hamilton as they were closing.  They graciously donated 247 pair of shoes to Womanspace, a women’s shelter in Lawrenceville.
