Important Notice from Acting Superintendent of the Plumsted Township School District

Governor Murphy has, once again, proposed in his budget to reduce state school aid to 193 school districts state-wide (nearly one-third), including your school. Further, the Governor is only visiting those schools to which he’s increased state aid.

* We did not vote for the bill (S-2 / A-2) that Governor Murphy signed into law that initiated these draconian cuts to state school aid.

* We have sponsored and introduced bipartisan legislation (A-5480 / S-3616) to fully restore the school aid cut by Governor Murphy. Please support our efforts and your school by signing our online petition requesting the Governor to sign our legislation to restore your state aid. You can find our petition by visiting
 https://go.assemblymandancer.com/school-funding-petition.

* We are also supporting a $50 million "Stabilization Fund" to provide additional state aid to your school.

* We have more legislative measures being prepared to eliminate your school from Governor Murphy's targeted and unconscionable state aid cuts.

The petition site also allows you to directly send an email to Governor Murphy. Urge the governor to support our children and to visit not only the schools receiving increased aid, but those that are being cut as well. Simply follow the prompts provided to sign the petition and, if you wish, to send the email.
