Memorial 9/11 Ceremony

The Plumsted Township Committee is inviting the community to join them for a memorial ceremony to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of 9/11. The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 8:30 am, in front of the Plumsted Township Municipal Building, 121 Evergreen Rd., New Egypt, New Jersey.

Following the invocation, the flag in front of the building will be lowered to half-staff until sunset. Moments of silence will be observed at 8:46 am and 9:03 am, the precise times that hijacked aircrafts struck the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan, respectively.

The remembrance ceremony is to honor and recognize the sacrifice and strength of all the lives impacted during the attacks that day.
