NEW DATE! Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Fire Truck

*Due to the weather forecast, the event has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 6th, 2-4 PM

We're doing things a little differently this year to keep our community safe.  With the help of his friends at the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company, Santa will be at the Plumsted Township Municipal Building this Sunday, December 6th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Rebecca Nowalski, professional photographer, will be on hand to capture the perfect holiday photo of your family with Santa safely distanced atop classic Engine No. 1. Your digital photo will be available for download within 24 hours, free of charge.

Please bring your mask for use before and after your photo. Families will remain in their vehicles until they are called for their photo with Santa. We ask that you adhere to CDC and Health Department Guidelines to ensure the safety of our community.

When you come for your outdoor photo with Santa, we’ll be collecting for those in need. Donations of non-perishable food items, new hats, gloves and socks are being accepted. We’re partnering with our New Egypt students to help assure that every family can celebrate the holidays. All donations will be distributed within our community.

As is our tradition, you’re welcome to stop by and add your decoration to the town’s Christmas tree in front of the municipal building any time after the December 5th event with Santa through the end of the year.

We haven’t forgotten the annual Plumsted Gingerbread House competition. This year the Plumsted Township Council for the Arts has moved it online so that everyone can participate. Create your masterpiece and post your video or photos on the Council’s Facebook page by December 28th. Complete category, entry and prize details are included.

Mark Your Calendar for Saturday, December 19th, 2 PM

The annual tradition continues with the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company escorting Santa around Plumsted Township on December 19th starting at 2 pm. Every road in Plumsted will be included. Track Santa’s progress on the fire department’s Facebook page.
