Ocean County Boat Flare Disposal Event - POSTPONED to OCTOBER 21st

Please be advised that the Boat Flare Disposal event scheduled for tomorrow is postponed due to anticipated flooding in the area. 

The new date is Saturday, October 21st.  If you have already registered for this event, there is no need to re-register. 

Ocean County is pleased to announce another "Boat Flare Disposal Program" event.

It will now be held on October 21, 2023, is open to all Ocean County residents, and designed to facilitate disposal of old flares. Flares accepted are red hand-held, parachute, red meteor, orange smoke signal, and floating orange smoke. No electronic flares, plastic flare launchers or other explosives will be accepted.

The location is: Ocean County Fire Academy, 200 Volunteer Way, Waretown, N.J. 08758.
