Calling all fishermen and fisherwomen!

If you have not done so already, you may register for the Fishing Derby on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Oakford Lake, New Egypt, N.J. from 9:00 am until 9:30 am, just prior to the actual event, which takes place from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

This event is open to everyone. Oakford Lake will be stocked with approximately 400 fish - trout (up to 18”).

The Fishing Derby is proudly sponsored by Animals and Gardens Unlimited, New Egypt Marketplace and Big Woods Farm and Nursery. Don E Miller Septic Service /Donny’s Potty’s will be providing a Port-a-Potty service for the day.

N.J. Fish and Game regulations will be enforced. Any participant aged 15 or older is required to possess a valid N.J. fishing license. Additionally, if you plan to remove trout from the lake, a trout stamp is necessary, with a daily limit of four (4) trout. For your convenience, bait, as well as fishing licenses are available at Animals and Gardens Unlimited, Jacobstown Rd. New Egypt.

Youngsters should be accompanied by an adult. Gifts will be provided for all children.

The event sponsors hope participants will continue to partake in quality, fall and winter fishing at the lake over the remainder of the year.

PLUMSTED TOWNSHIP CLEAN COMMUNITIES – BRING A BAG-GET A BAG

The Plumsted Township Clean Communities will be at the New Egypt Fishing Derby on October 29th. Please bring plastic to recycle and you will receive a reusable shopping bag. See you there!
