Santa Claus Visits Plumsted

With the help of his friends at the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company, Santa visited Plumsted on Sunday, December 6th.

Rebecca Nowalski, professional photographer, captured the perfect holiday photo of families with Santa safely distanced atop classic Engine No. 1.

We would like to thank the community for their generous donations of food, hats & gloves. We partnered with New Egypt High School’s National Honor Society students to help assure that every family can celebrate the holidays. Over 25 bags of food were collected along with many hats and gloves and monetary donations that have been used to purchase food for our community. Thank You!

Girl Scout Kindergarten Daisy Troop 135 was excited to donate proceeds raised through their Fall Nuts and Chocolate sale to the New Egypt food drive. Girl Scouts Gabriella Perez, Julianna Romeo, Madison Ervin, and Robin Hammerschmidt met with Municipal Clerk Jennifer Witham and daughter Annie Witham to share their generous New Egypt Marketplace gift card donations with the community.

As is our tradition, you’re welcome to stop by and add your decoration to the town’s Christmas tree in front of the municipal building any time after the December 5th event with Santa through the end of the year.
We haven’t forgotten the annual Plumsted Gingerbread House competition. This year the Plumsted Township Council for the Arts has moved it online so that everyone can participate. Create your masterpiece and post your video or photos on the Council’s Facebook page by December 18th. Complete category, entry and prize details are included.  PTCA :https://www.facebook.com/Plumsted-Township-Council-for-the-Arts-144993035567664
