TONIGHT! Road Projects to Begin in Plumsted Township

We are pleased to announce that we have some upcoming road projects to improve travel conditions in Plumsted. We have been working with the county and contractor to have the projects be done at different times to lessen the impact on your commute. 

As you may have noticed on posted message boards, Ocean County will be paving Route 539 at the intersection of Rt 537 and 539 up to Hornerstown Road. We anticipate this road work to begin on Monday, 4/4 from 8 pm to 6 am for two nights, weather permitting.  

We have also been fortunate enough to be awarded grants from the Department of Transportation.  One is for Tower Road and the other a portion of Hopkins Road.  You should see signage as we have more firm dates for those two projects.  Please note that there will be detours on both Tower Road and Hopkins Road for the days the paving will be done.  Alternate routes will be necessary during that time period.  The work will be completed on or about April 15th for approximately four days, excluding weekends.
