Another old fashioned tree lighting ceremony at the Plumsted Municipal Building was held on December 2, 2023.. Thanks to all the residents for attending, the Girl Scouts for their beautiful caroling, the Drug Alliance for their hot chocolate, New Egypt Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, for escorting Santa, aka Jeff White, a Lennar resident, to the scene, with lights and sirens blaring, and photographer Rebecca Nowalski, for her patience in always obtaining the perfect pose with St. Nick.
We also thank Herb Marinari and Big Woods Nursery for donating the perfect community Christmas tree, once again this year. Herb and the rest of the Township Committee, consisting of Mayor Bob Bowen, Len Grilletto, Dominick Cuozzo and Mike Hammerstone support this joyful event each holiday season. Thanks to each of you for making us all feel proud to call Plumsted our home.
